Objectives:
- Identify the purpose of the OSHA Recordkeeping Standards and who they apply to.
- Discuss what makes a case recordable and reportable and identify how and when to record/report a case
- Review the benefits of maintaining accurate recordkeeping and how to use the data to improve an employers safety and health management system.
Session Description:
This session provides an overview of the OSHA requirements, covering who is required to keep records, how to keep records for multiple locations, what is considered “work related”, what case are recordable, what cases must be reported to OSHA, and much more. This session is ideal for top management and personnel who may be involved in recordkeeping, hazard reporting, and worker safety. We’ll also discuss current “hot topics”.
Biography:
With 30+ years of experience as a safety professional and a degree in Emergency Management, Betsey Kulakowski is the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Safety Council. Betsey also serves as the co-chair for the ASSP-OKC Chapter of Women in Safety Excellence (WISE), a special interest group of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP). Betsey has been providing in-depth recordkeeping training and education for over 20 years.
